Although the bulk of our work is in Cambodia, PERMAIBUDI does not neglect its responsibility to the needy in our surrounding community. PERMAIBUDI has been active in distributing food packages to the underprivileged in Negeri Sembilan.
When Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK) spread its wings in Negeri Sembilan in 2018, it required local NGOs to participate in its programmes. PERMAIBUDI was one of the earliest ones to come to the fore.
KSK have an agreement with participating outlets such as Lotus’s, Family Store, and Aeon that would offer surplus food for the day to be distributed to those in need rather than being destroyed, thus minimizing food wastage.
We also work closely with KSK to take delivery of monthly food rations and distributing them to poor families in Seremban since 2018.
PERMAIBUDI also conducts “Back To School” programmes for less fortunate children when situation permits. This includes buying school uniforms and shoes for the children.
